A Correspondence

Someone posted this on Friendster and I thought that she wrote about an intersting topic, so I replied to her.

(Note: I edited some parts for clarity.)

Subject: The relationship between sex and love

Today i wanna talk about the relationship between sex and love. As we know, we can have sex without love and at the same time we have both sex and love. Some people believe that it's possible to have love without sex , so call pure love. When the rest strongly think that no sex no love. Many players love to have sex with girl without falling in love, but after a few times they slowly in love with the girl. Does it shows that sex actually is related to love?? Well, I dont know.. if i know I will not be here to discuss this. However, most of the people, I mean the majority people here, well including me, think that when u truly in love with someone, when you are intrigued, attracted by someone special, you will feel like making love with this person, so call have sex. At the point, does it show the relationship between love and sex? Some people show their 'love' to the other in order to have sex with him/her. Ok , the question is,what kind of relationship between love and sex? I'm for saying all the shit here, and thx for spending 5 mins reading it. I'm done, I can sleep now.

Hmm.. I found topic that you wrote on very interesting and decided to send you a reply.

For me, I feel that sex has always been an expression of love. So if you look at it that way, the reason sex was created was because of love. So it's possible to love without having sex because sex is just an expression, nothing more. And we can express love in so many other ways.

But nowadays more emphasis has been placed on sex and the pleasure itself rather than the main reason it exists. Sure, you can have sex without love, but it's like an expression done without any emotion at all. It's just meaningless and done for the pleasure of doing it.

Most of the time however, we mistake love for lust and infatuation and we think that we love someone and have sex with them only to find out that we're mistaken. In the end that process keeps happening until sex is just a hobby like going to the movies.

I know it sounds old, but that's why I think sex should be saved for marriage when you truly know that you love someone and that person loves you back. And sex is one of the best expressions of love and should be kept for the one you love the most. If you keeping doing it so many times, it loses its meaning, rather than saving it for that one special person and having something with him or her that no one else has.

Well, that's just my 2 cents worth on that topic, and I also thank you for 5 minutes of your time. Haha. =)

Hmm.. So what do you think? :)

Saturday Night

Yesterday night I was sick. I had a slight fever and my stomach was still aching, so I went home instead of going for cell group. I wanted to quickly settle my stomach problems, so I went to the toilet and crapped everything out as soon as I got home. It seemed to work, because I felt better and the fever never returned. Haha.

I feel asleep immediately after eating, and I slept a full 12 hours! I think it's because now that my attachment's over, it's something I won't have to worry about anymore, so I slept better. School's starting on monday, but it's not as bad as going to work.

Today at Jericho Youth Centre there was a movie marathon from 2pm to 10pm, but I only went at around 5pm after my youth worship practice. It was quite alright, the only movie I managed to catch was Yamakazi, a film about 7 guys who can flip, jump, climb buildings and all sorts of acrobatic skills like that. It was good, I'd give it a rating of 8 upon 10. :)

I was actually planning to start playing Final Fantasy X-2 when I got home, but I went online and I decided not to play again. Been procrastinating doing that ever since the holidays started. Well, better start playing tomorrow.

I'm just waiting for the Holland - Sweden game right now. The bloody arrogant french team were knocked out of Greece last night. Haha. I don't want an upset today though, because I've been supporting Holland and England from the start. Only Holland's left, so I predict a Holland victory by a single goal. Actually, just as long as the Dutch win, I'll take it anyway.

Alrighty, the match is starting now. GO HOLLAND! :)

Back From The Crap

Yep, I'm back from the crap. Man.. It seems like the last 30 minutes are just crawling by so so slowly. My parter in front of me can't wait to burst out of here. I'm not that hasty to get out of here though, because I can blog! Haha.

Anyway, just for the fun of it, let me detail how my last day went from 9am to 5:30pm, a typical working day.

9:00 AM -- At home, woke up, and walked off to take a shower.

9:13 AM -- Finished bathing but wasted time walking around and watching a bit of tv.

9:43 AM -- Finally out of the house and walking to the bus stop.

10:07AM -- Bishan MRT. Missed the train. Waited 7 minutes for the next one. Crappy.

10:49AM -- Walked into the office.

11:03AM -- Went for kaya toast & milo at Ya Kun Kaya Toast.

11:28AM -- Back at the office and started doing my report.

11:56AM -- Completed the report and started to surf around.

02:05PM -- Went for lunch.

03:14PM -- Returned back to the office.

04:39PM -- Went to crap.

05:07PM -- Started doing this blog entry.

05:25PM -- Finished this blog entry.

Yep, so that more or less how everyday goes about. Haha. Alright, it's time to go. I'm outta here!! Yahoo! :)

The Final Countdown

Finally, the day I've been waiting for has come. It's the final day of my attachment! YEAH! =)

Today was just a day of clearing up and finishing the reports that I needed to hand up to my Liason Office and getting my Officer In Charge here to sign the stuff. So right now I'm just slacking in the office waiting for 5:30 to come. :)

This morning I was super super late though. I was late by 1hr and 45 mins! But it's a good thing that the people here don't really bother you that much, so no one asked me anything. Phew. That's what I like about this place. That you're free to do your work without anyone really observing you or anything. There's freedom! Just as long as you get the job done, no questions asked. Maybe it's like that here in the sales section. Because everyone's so busy and when you're in sales, you're always going here and there to meet clients and all, so no one really questions your whereabouts.

We were even free to go down and have some kaya toast after I arrived. They also do that sometimes; they'd invite us to go down and have coffee with them but of course, we always politely decline. It's just awkward if we go.

Talking about food, my stomach's still acting up. That's part of the reason I couldn't finish my lunch earlier. The other reason is because the chicken rice I bought was just plain lousy. The rice only had a bit of flavour and the chicken meat was so dry! So don't go and eat the Hainanese chicken rice at the 1st floor of China Square Food Court. Oops.

Shoot. My stomach is calling me to go to the toilet again. Maybe I'll update later if there's still time. :)

Blur

Only one more day before my attachment is finally over!! Yahoo! Today we went to see AR and he was satisfied with our last assignment, so I guess we won't be seeing him anymore. It feels a bit funny, but I'm going to miss this routine that I'm going to leave behind a little bit.

You know, seeing the same people here at Marcomedia and Genovate, taking the mrt in the mornings, then eating nasi lemak or chicken rice for lunch. Sitting in the air con room at all day and getting to surf the internet anytime I want. Haha. But at the same time it's getting quite tiring, so I'm also glad it's going to be over. FREEDOM!

Right now I'm having a bit of a stomach upset. It's not too bad, just that there's a slight pain that comes from time to time. Must be something I ate last night. I think it was the pizza. I'll just let it go away. My eyes are acting up too. Sometimes when I look into the distance, it's a bit blurred. And then I sort of have to focus properly to get a clearer view. Crap, I don't want to be short sighted. Looking at the laptop screen the whole day is probably what's causing all this.

Early this morning I missed the Euro 2004 matches again! Dang. It's the 3rd time that I've missed the match because I fell asleep or failed to wake up. So I'm going to make sure that I'm going to catch the Portugal-England game later on tonight. I'll ask someone to call me or something. I'm supporting England to win. GO ENGLAND!! =) Something about these championships is that I don't like the host country to win. It's like they have an unfair advantage over the other teams just because they're playing at home.

Tonight will be the last time I'm going to take home the office laptop, so I've got to send all the stuff that I downloaded here into my own laptop. Haha. I've made use of the high speed internet connection to download some stuff that would have probably taken ages if I had used my 56K connection at home. I must sey that if I've downloaded some good stuff. Downloaded some songs from the Naruto OST, anime videos, videos from Gametrailers and lots of card magic videos! Ahh.. the magic of broadband. Haha. =P

Tomorrow is the last day of work and I'm going to get to play bass for the youth service at Salvation Army too, so that's something I'm looking forward to. Alrighty, will update tomorrow if I can. See ya! =)

PIPSOH PIPSOH!

Yahoo! My highest Pipsoh score is 1782!!! Haha.

Yes, I'm am currently obessed with this game. LoL~ =P

Progressive Rock

I'm listening to Dream Theatre right now and everytime I listen to their music closely, it makes my realise how good they are. To the layman Dream Theatre's music won't be something they'll listen to, but if you listen to their music carefully, you'll realise that progressive rock isn't something all bands can play well.

"From 1969 to 1977, progressive rock--the self-consciously complex rock music characterized by unusual time signatures, flashy virtuosity, and fantastic lyrics--dominated FM radio and rock album charts."
-Source: http://www.societymusictheory.org

And you if watch Dream Theatre peform, their technique is absolutely top class. John Myung's bass skills are crazy man. His fingers go so fast and stretch so wide. If only I had the Sharingan then could copy all his moves. Their drummer Mike Portnoy is also another crazy dude. Haha. If I'm not wrong he was once voted as the best contemporary drummer.

Right now I just don't feel like doing any work at all. Just not in the mood. So I'm just surfing around, blogging as usual. I think I'm starting to get short sighted. Whenever I look into the distance, it's blur but after a while everything becomes clear. I don't wanna wear spectacles, so I'd better start taking of my eyes.

Pipsoh is back online again! It was down a while ago. So now I've something to do! My highest score so far is 778.

Pipsoh!

I was just playing around at Miniclip games just now because the Candystand Billards game seems to be down. And I came across this really cool game called Pipsoh!

I don't really know how to explain the rules, but it's a bit like cards because there's full house, 4 of a kind, 3 of a kind and the other combinations. The object of the game is to get the highest score that you can. Try it! My highest score currently is only 668 though. :P

The End Is Near

The flash advertisement is finally done! Today we went to see AR and he was quite satisfied with the work, the only thing he wanted us to change was the resolution of the pictures because the entire file was a whooping 128MB. My friend fixed that when we got back to the office and I'm sending the file to him now as I blog.

I'm finally beginning to smell and feel freedom coming back again. Feeling the burden of having to go to work the next day whenever I go home will soon be gone. Haha. School's going to start again, but going to school and having the holidays feels pretty much the same to me. Unlike in secondary school, after the exams and the semester is over, I don't feel any different. Some of my friends also agree.

Last Friday something funny happened on the bus home. It was quite late at night, around midnight, so I was sitting on the bus, leaning my head on the window. I didn't even notice someone had sat beside me. All of a sudden, this lady, who looked like she was in her late 40s, started talking me! And she wasn't asking a question, she was having a conversation with me like I was her friend or something. She started asking me about my school, my studies and all. I was a bit surprised but I though it was a chance to improve my social skills, so I just replied and tried to make small talk. She told me how her daughter went to Ngee Ann Poly also and took Mass Communications.

It was a good thing that my stop wasn't far away, so I only had to talk with her for a short while. When I told her that I was going to get down already, she told me to study hard and patted my shoulder. I don't know about you, but getting your shoulder patted by a strange old lady is quite freaky if you ask me. Up to now I don't even know why she even wanted to talk to me in the first place. I wasn't looking at her and didn't even know she was there. Hmm.. Maybe she was a ghost. Weird. LoL~

Sleepy

Man.. I'm starting to feel so so sleepy now. Today we were supposed to meet AR but when we got to the office the lady at the reception told us he took half day MC. We finished the work that we had to do, so today's another slack day! Haha.

The only thing about slack days is that sometimes it gets very sleepy because there's nothing to do. The fact that I slep at 6am in the morning doesn't help either.

So right now my partner and I are just editing the flash trailer and changing some things here and there. We playing around with the sounds, trying to put the correct sounds but we only have a limited range.

After this I'm going to Aaron's house to pass him the blank cds I bought yesterday so he can start burning the Naruto anime! Then finally I can have my own collection. =)

Oh yeah, one of the staff here at Marcomedia gave us each one of their computer backpacks! It's just what I needed! =) She's so kind and sweet. She's been the friendliest to us ever since the first day we came. She's quite young I think, but not as snobbish as the other young lady at the reception desk. =P

Hmm.. I got some work to do now. So I might update again later depending on my mood. =)

This Day

I'm watching Spain Vs Portugal now. I don't really mind who wins, just as long as the match is exciting like the Holland-Czech Republic match yesterday.

Today was Fathers' Day and my youth group had to present something at church. The only thing I had to do was to answer the question, "What Is A Father To You?" and then say something that will relate to my own father. It went quite alright actually. In poly we do so many class presentations that after a while public speaking gets easier each time.

After that we went to Funan Centre to walk around a bit with my 2 friends, Reuel and Chester. Chester is the crazy one among the both of them siblings and he's the one always doing stupid stuff. We were inside one of the stores because I wanted to buy some blank cds. Like all computer stores, there were computers on display all around. Usually they're locked, but one computer wasn't. Then Chester had another one of his stupid ideas.

He went up to the computer, opened wordpad, and typed:

SEX MACHINE

and then nonchalantly left the computer as it was. I just laughed my ass off as we quickly walked away. And when we passed by later again, we saw a young girl looking at the computer looking at the screen. She was probably wondering what the SEX MACHINE could do. LoL~

After that we went back to the church office for my father's birthday party. There were quite a number of people there and so was the food that everyone brought. We just sat around and chatted with other people from the youth group.

I came home and tried to finish up some work for tomorrow when we go and see AR again, but I fell asleep. Haha. Then I woke up around midnight, talked to my sweet girlfriend (who was sleepy sleepy again) and then finally got around to doing some work. I took about an hour to finish it.

Yep, so that's how my day went. I had nothing to write, so why not write about the day? I'll blog more about weekend tomorrow. A few weird things happened to me. LoL~ But right now, it's time for a game of football and some wasabi short sticks! =D

Dude Where's My Car?

A very successful lawyer parked his brand new BMW in front of the office, ready to show it off to his colleagues. As he got out, a truck came along, too close to the curb, and completely tore off the driver's door of the BMW. The counsellor immediately grabbed his mobile phone, dialled 999, and it wasn't more than 5 minutes before a policeman pulled up.

Before the cop had a chance to ask any questions, the lawyer started screaming hysterically. His BMW, which he had just picked up the day before, was now completely ruined and would never be the same, no matter how the body shop tried to make it new again.

After the lawyer finally wound down from his rant, the cop shook his head in disgust and disbelief. "I can't believe how materialistic you lawyers are," he said. "You are so focused on your possessions that you neglect the most important things in life."

"How can you say such a thing?" asked the lawyer.

The cop replied, "My God, don't you even realise that your left arm is missing? It got ripped off when the truck hit you!!!"

"My God!" screamed the lawyer..........."Where's my Rolex?"

Weekend

Yahoo! The weekend is here again! Finally I can relax a little more. The weekends always pass by too quickly though. Before you know it, it's already sunday night and you start getting the Monday blues.

My weekend's kinda busy though. I've practice tomorrow for the Father's Day presentation at church on Sunday so that's at least half the day gone. Maybe at night I'll cycling with Mark and Aaron. I also wanna start on my Final Fantasy X-2 game. I always want to start playing, but when I start playing I want to have the entire day to myself. Or else playing Final Fantasy for just 2 hours or so won't be enough.

I just downloaded some magic videos and I realised that there's still lots of cool tricks to learn! I need some practice cause I'm a bit rusty. I did a bit of magic to my friend earlier but it wasn't so good though. So I need to get the handling skills back up again.

And I received good news today. My girlfriend's going to study Optometry at SP! I'm so happy for her because it's a good course. I've heard that the intake every year is quite low, so that means the number of graduates are lesser than other courses and that when you go out and work, there's more demand for people from that course. =D

It's 4:45pm now and only 45 minutes left before I can leave! Yahoo! =D

Cold and Slow

Once again, it's winter temperature in the office right now. I brought a pull on sweater today, but it's still freezing cold. I've always hated the cold when I was young, and I hate it even more now. Now that it's cold, it seems like time is moving slower. It's already 3:22, but it feels like 5 hours have passed. Brr..

When we went to meet AR today, it only took 5 mins! When we arrived, he was going to the pantry to get some food, so on his way back he saw us. We just sat in the reception area, showed him our work and he told us to do this and that, and then it was over in 5 mins! He usually makes us wait at least 30 minutes before he meets us. Today must be a lucky day! Haha.

Right now I'm just downloading some magic videos from Penguin Magic. I wanna maintain and improve my magic skills, but finding someone to present it to is quite hard because all my friends are tired of my tricks already. Haha. Hmm.. Come to think of it, my attachment partner here hasn't seen any yet. Maybe I'll practise on him. =)

I can't find anything else interesting to blog now, so maybe I'll update later. =)

Petals Around the Rose

Here's a game that you can try. It's quite challenging or simple depending on how you look at it, but it requires you to look at things from a different perspective. Go on, give it a try. I managed to solve it after 30 mins or so. :)

I Bet $10 You Can't Give Me $20

I just talked to my friend on MSN and he asked me whether I bet on the Euro 2004 matches. I said no, but he still gave a tip saying, "Just bet all draw. Can already."

Betting on matches is an easy way of earning money and it makes the match more exciting, some will say. I agree on the exciting part, but in end, you'll lose more than you win. It's proven fact. If it isn't the case, then how will Singapore Pools and all the betting companies survive? It's apparent that they're earning tons and tons of money.

Still the best way to understand other people is to put yourself in their shoes. So this time, I'm going bet on the Euro 2004 matches and see how it goes. I even created an entire section for this! :) Well, I'm a newbie, but I'll try my best not to let my money go down the drain. Haha.

For the benefit of those who don't know the rules, I posted up an explanation here, so go take a look.

So here are tonight's matches and the current odds on the Singapore Pools website.

Match 0808: GERMANY vs HOLLAND
1X2
GERMANY 2.87
DRAW 2.97
HOLLAND 2.25

My bet: $50 on a Holland win.

--> This match is a close one, might be even a draw. But I think Holland will scrape through because of Germany's poor form before the tournament.

TOTAL GOALS
0 GOAL 5.90
1 GOAL 3.90
2 GOALS 3.40
3 GOALS 4.00
4 GOALS 6.20
5 GOALS 9.80
6 GOALS 25.00
7 GOALS 47.00
8 GOALS 110.00
9+ GOALS 150.00

My bet: $5 on 3 goals.

--> I'm not too sure, but I think 3 goals for a match with 2 good sides is quite reasonable. I only bet $5 because Total Goals are harder win and the odds seem to be quite good.

Match 0807: CZECH REPUBLIC vs LATVIA
1X2
CZECH REPUBLIC 1.30
DRAW 5.10
LATVIA 6.10

My bet: $100 on a Czech Republic win.

--> Czech Republic are the favorites to win this game over minnows Lativa. It's quite safe to take the Czech win in this one as it's Latvia's first appearance in this tournament.

TOTAL GOALS
0 GOAL 9.90
1 GOAL 5.20
2 GOALS 3.80
3 GOALS 3.80
4 GOALS 5.00
5 GOALS 7.10
6 GOALS 14.00
7 GOALS 23.00
8 GOALS 50.00
9+ GOALS 70.00

My bet: $10 on 1 goal.

--> Latvia will be trying to play for a draw and be defending deep, so the Czechs might find it hard to score.

HT-FT (HALF/FULL TIME DOUBLE)
H-H CZECH REPUBLIC & CZECH REPUBLIC 1.90
H-D CZECH REPUBLIC & Draw 14.00
H-A CZECH REPUBLIC & LATVIA 19.00
D-H Draw & CZECH REPUBLIC 4.10
D-D Draw & Draw 8.10
D-A Draw & LATVIA 15.00
A-H LATVIA & CZECH REPUBLIC 15.00
A-D LATVIA & Draw 19.00
A-A LATVIA & LATVIA 18.00

My bet: $20 on a draw at Half-time and a Czech win at Full-time.

--> Like I said earlier, Latvia will be trying to defend all the way, so the Czech might only be able to late in the game.

Yep, so that's it, $185 will be on the line today, how much will I win or lose? Haha..

Singapore Pools Betting Explanation

For the sake of those who don't bet, I'll try to explain the rules here. I myself learnt of the rules from my friends, so I hope you can understand. In Singapore Pools, there are 4 different systems you can place your bet on. 1X2, 1/2 Goal, TOTAL GOALS and HT/FT(Half/Full-time Double).

1X2
RUSSIA 5.50
DRAW 3.75
PORTUGAL 1.47

1X2 is the easiest to understand. Just bet on the end result of the match. There are 3 outcomes. In this case, it's a Russian win, a Portuegese win, or a draw.

1/2 GOAL
RUSSIA (+1½ GOALS) 1.50
PORTUGAL (-1½ GOALS) 2.30

1/2 Goal is quite hard to understand for some. To put it simply, it's a handicap. You can take either Portugal or Russia. In this case, before the game started, Russia has a 1.5 goal advantage over Portugal. This is because Russia are less likely to win this game. So If you take Portugal to win this game, they have win by 2 goals because of the handicap, while Russia only needs to lose by a single goal or draw because of the handicap.

If you still don't understand, just see the team which has the negative goals. That team has to win by 2 goals for it to win. So if you think that team is going to win by 2 goals, take that team. If not, take the other team. :)

TOTAL GOALS
0 GOAL 8.80
1 GOAL 4.50
2 GOALS 3.40
3 GOALS 3.60
4 GOALS 5.20
5 GOALS 9.00
6 GOALS 18.00
7 GOALS 38.00
8 GOALS 95.00
9+ GOALS 150.00

Total Goals is quite simple too. Just predict how many goals will be scored in the game in total, and bet on that number. The total goals is calculated by adding up the goals each side scores. If the final score is 2-1, the total goals is 3. Easy right?

HT-FT (HALF/FULL TIME DOUBLE)
H-H RUSSIA & RUSSIA 13.00
H-D RUSSIA & Draw 14.00
H-A RUSSIA & PORTUGAL 10.00
D-H Draw & RUSSIA 10.00
D-D Draw & Draw 6.80
D-A Draw & PORTUGAL 4.30
A-H PORTUGAL & RUSSIA 14.00
A-D PORTUGAL & Draw 9.70
A-A PORTUGAL & PORTUGAL 2.80

HT-FT is quite complicated to explain, but quite simple really. Just predict who will be leading at half time and at full time. The returns are harder here because more variables involved and more outcomes.

If think Portugal will be leading at half-time and leading at full-time, just take Portugal & Portugal. But if you think at half-time no one will be leading, but Portugal will still win it, take Draw & Portugal. You should be getting it by now. =)

How to calculate your winnings

The amount you win is, [(the amount you wagered) multiplied by (the odds)] minus (the amount you wagered).

In a mathematical formula form it would be :

Let the amount won be M, the amount wagered W, the odds, OD.

(W x OD) - W = M

So if I bet $10 on Russia to win and the odds of that are 5.50, my winnings will be:

[$10(wager) X 5.50(Odds)] - $10(wager) = $45(Money won)

You're actually given $55 back if you win, but the wager is actually your money right from the start, so actually you've only won $45. If you lose though, you lose your wager. So that's the whole deal simplified.

If you take the team which is more likely to win, the odds are lower so the return isn't that high. If you want bigger returns, take the other team, but it's a bigger risk.

So if you look at it, all the different outcomes, plus other different variables involved like player injuries, home ground advantage, etc.. there's no certain way of knowing who will each time. And because of that, you're more likely to lose than win.

Taking A Look Around

I always see interesting things on MRT rides to work in the mornings. There's nothing much to see on a crowded mrt except people. And if you look around enough, sometimes you'll see interesting things from time to time.

In my MRT ride today, I saw:

1) A guy talking to himself.
There was this JC student talking to himself by the door. His gaze was fixed onto the floor as if he was having a converstion with someone there. But when I looked at the floor, there was no one there. Can't blame him though. The stress in JC is enough to kill some people and drive them mad. LoL~

2) A smiling weirdo.
As soon as I stepped through the door, there was this guy that smiled at me. I just ignored him and walked in. No offence to anyone out there, but this guy looked kinda retarted. He was walking around, looking at people and smiling at them and laughing. At one point he was standing quite close to a guy and smiling in his face. The guy just walked away.

3) A family with 4 kids.
What was interesting about this family was that the children all looked like they were born 1 or 2 years apart. The oldest looked 5 years old and youngest was a crying baby in a pram. I think it's quite obvious that if you have so many children come one after the other you're going to have a hard time. The father didn't look rich too. I wonder he coped with the family expenses and the child care. If only his wife took care of the kids, I'm sure she was really having a tough time. I wouldn't my wife to suffer like that.

Man.. It's still cold here in the conference room. I'll go out and get some warm air first. Might blog later again. =)

The Groove!

Right now I'm listening to Salvador Worship Live, and the bass line in the songs are really really good. Makes you bop your head up and down to the beat. The bass is the one that gives the groove in songs, that's why I like the bass so much. My favourite song in the album is God People. :) Here's a site where you can listen to their songs. You need RealOne Player to listen to it though.

I first heard of their band when my cousin came to Singapore for a visit. My cousin's a genius when is comes to music and the piano, to point that when he listens to music, he'll always start analysing it his head. We could be listening to some music and he'll just say, "Ah, it's in the scale of C Minor." If you need the chords of a song or the music notes, he'll write them down in a jiffy.

So the music he listens to always have some musical value in them, and I liked this Salvador cd so much that I borrowed it from him. If you like music, you'll like this cd. =)

I found this while reading someone else's blog and I found it quite interesting. It reminds you of how fast time has gone by and makes you recall quite hard with your memory.

2. try to slack again.
3. call my girlfriend, like I do everyday. :)
4. try to start playing Final Fantasy X-2.
5. blog again.

Phew.. This is one hard survey. It took me a long time to think and answer some questions.

Lacking Sleep

I had only 8 hours of sleep for the past 2 days and I'm feeling quite stoned now. But I'm feeling much better than I expected. I thought I'd be walking zombie, but I'm still quite awake and able to function.

Last night the match between England and France was a dramatic one. I wanted England to win and they were leading all the way until the 90th minute. Then France scored from a freekick. 1-1 after 91 minutes. A draw would be still good, I thought. Then England did something stupid. No, Steven Gerrard did something stupid. He passed back the ball to the goalkeeper without looking and put Theirry Henry through on goal. David James had no choice but to foul Henry for a penalty and Zidane scored again from the penalty spot.

Naturally I was a bit pissed that England lost just like that. I support England, but I don't mind any other team winning the Euro Championship just as long as it's not France. But still, if you do stupid things like that, then you deserve to lose. If you shoot yourself in the foot, don't complain. See la, stupid Liverpool player costing England the game. LoL~

This morning I was standing in the crowded MRT on the way to work and I looked around and observed people cause I didn't wanna fall asleep. Then I looked around a spotted a few guys standing up with closed eyes, trying to catch some sleep. And if you looked closely, you could see they had tired eyes and eye bags. Haha. Needless to say they watched the England-France also. They looked really tired and sleep deprivied.

I don't think I looked as bad as them though. I looked in the mirror this morning and I didn't see any eye bags. I did have a bit of dark rings around my eyes though. But it wasn't as bad as eye bags and I could look like Gaara at the same time! Haha.

Pictures from Anime2k.net and Logic Society

Gaara is a charcater in the Naruto anime who has insomnia because of a demon that is inside him. Gaara can't sleep at night or else the demon will slowly eat away his personality and replace with his own. As a result he was dark rings around his eyes from insomnia and emotionally unstable.

If don't get enough sleep I might start to look like him! Haha. It's starting to get close to lunchtime now, so I'll do a bit of work and then update again later! :)

Euro 2004

Well, today the first matches of Euro 2004 kick-off. Most of my friends will get bet on the matches but I don't bet. Most of the time you'll end up losing more than you win. Anyway, I decided to make some predictions for today's 2 matches just for fun.

Portugal 2 - 1 Greece.
I think most people would agree that Portugal are likely to win this game. They're playing at home and that's a big advantage. I think they'll win by a single goal though because all the opening games of the tournaments are low scoring.

Spain 2 - 0 Russia.
Spain should easily win this one and I just don't see Russia scoring a goal. There's a slight chance for an upset here, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Yep, so let's see how it goes tonight. :)

Slack Day

Yay! It's another slack day for me. We don't have to meet the guy from the other company on Monday so we relax and do our work on Monday. Actually yesterday we realised that we had slacked too much and rushed everything at home. Good thing everything turned out okie and today the guy was quite satisfied with our progess so far. I'm tired of calling him "the guy" so let's called him AR instead okie?

Speaking of AR, he always makes us wait super long at the reception area before he comes. After the receptionist calls him, he'll only come out of the office not before making us wait at least 30 minutes. It got worse today when he made us wait an entire hour before coming out. He said he was in a voice conference.

I don't really mind the waiting because while waiting for him we just go to their pantry area, eat their snacks, drink some tea, chit chat and read the newspaper. And if you think of it, I'm getting paid while I'm doing all that. Haha.

So I'm in the office right now, slacking away, blogging, so I might as well blog about yesterday too.

Yesterday I went to get the Naruto cds from Della since Clarence passed them to her before he left overseas. The thing was, I didn't know where Della lived. All I knew was that she lived quite close to my place. So I asked for her address, went online to check the map, but it didn't help much.

Still, I didn't mind cause I always like having to search for places. It's quite fun actualy. Just as long as you aren't rushing for an appointment and you know your way back. The place was at Lorong Chuan so I just cycled there.

Along the way there were so many different Lorong Chuans, but good thing I found the place. And Della told me that she had watched all the way until episode 49! Yeah! Another Naruto convert. Haha. Seems like I'm getting more and more people hooked onto Naruto. She said she liked the anime and I told her that I could lend her the cds next week. I'm going to pass it to Darwin to copy the files on his computer tonight and he'll return them to me on Sunday.

After that I just cycled home. It was quite tiring cause I had to cycle uphill. And just made me realise how much my fitness has gone down. Gotta run more to increase my stamina!

Thursday nights there's always nothing to watch, and I forgot what I did already so that's how thursday went.

Wow, this is a long entry. I'm bored now. I'll go surf surf around and see if I can find anything interesting.

Still Cold

This morning I had to wake up earlier cause we weren't going to meet the guy over at the other company. Which meant that work started at 9am today. But my partner and I decided to have breakfast at Ya Kun at 830am before work. I slept at 2:30am the previous night so I was quite stoned on the way to Raffles place mrt.

And for the first time, I was on time! Haha. He was quite surprised when he saw me waiting for him.

He said,"Wah, you on time ah."

LoL~ I've gotta try to get rid of my late coming habit. I always tend to come 15 minutes or later whenever I meet people.

Later when we stepped into the office, it was still as cold as yesterday. But after a while I got used to it, but it was still freezing. Good thing lunch just came in time save the day.

Anyway during lunch, I saw the OC commercial on tv and I saw Mischa Barton! Yeah, she's hot. Her kind of beauty is unique yet at the same time, simple.

(Picture from Soapsite.)

If I'm not wrong she's of American-Irish descent, and usually those who have mixed blood turn out to be good-looking.

Speaking of the OC, it's on tonight at 11pm! Yahoo! I just hope I'll be able to catch it this time cause my father's always watching wrestling or the discovery channel when he gets home.

Well, it's time to do some work now. Enough slacking around. Maybe I'll blog later again! =)

IQ Test

I came to work today and the first thing I did was to try an IQ test! =)

Your IQ score is 127

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Inspired Inventor. This means you've got exceptional verbal and mathematical skills, and are very good at brainstorming new ideas.

You can try the test here.

Uchiha Itachi

We moved back into the conference room of the office today. Yeah! My partner wanted to ask our supervisor if we could change back and he said ok, so we're back to our favourite spot. It was super cold where we were seated before, and we got soaked walking back to the office today in the rain, so if we sat there we'd be ice cubes at the end of the day.

But more importantly, it means... we can SLACK! Hahaha. Tomorrow we won't be meeting the our other supervisor at the other company so we can relax the whole of today and start doing work tomorrow. Even as I type this my partner next to me is playing Gunbound. LoL~

I just watched episode 83 of Naruto yesterday and right now my new favourite character is Uchiha Itachi. The way he fights is just so cool. Even way cooler than Kakashi. I already liked him when I heard about him from my friends who read the manga, so I was just waiting for him to appear in the anime.

(Pictures from david.anime.)

Look at those eyes. The way he uses the Sharingan is totally on another level compared to Kakashi. He killed his entire clan when he was around 16 if I'm not wrong. He killed everyone but left his younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke, alive. He later ran away from his village and became an exiled ninja. But now he's come back to get something related to the 4th Hokage. These aren't really spoilers (except the last part, small spoiler there. :P), cause once you watch the anime you'll know all these around the 6th or 7th episode, soon after Sasuke is introduced.

If you could only watch one anime in your life, Naruto is one of the few I'd recommend. It's that good.

So I'll just wait for school to re-open then I'll be able to get the latest episodes of Naruto. Tonight they'll be showing episode 87 in Japan.

Man.. It's still cold even here in the conference room. Alright, it's time to do a bit of work now. Or maybe not. Haha.. :P

Incoming File Transfer

I'm feeling quite sleepy now, but I doing a file transfer from my office laptop to my own laptop. What am I transferring? NARUTO! If there's one anime in your lifetime that you should watch, Naruto is one of them. It's that good. =)

I think I'm lacking a bit in the sleep department nowadays. It's because everytime I'm free from work, I try to do so many things that my sleep time is sacrificed instead. Like right now. I guess that's why I feel quite tired at work too. Today I even went to one of the deserted staircases near my office and took a short 10 minute nap.

That staircase is quite clean so all you need to do is just sit down, lean against the wall and close your eyes. The place is comfortably warm in contrast to the biting cold in my office. I just closed my eyes and faded away. They even play the radio in the staircases so there's even music.

You won't ever lose track of time even if you didn't bring your handphone cause all you have to do is count the number of songs that have passed. That's what I did. I think I'll go there again tomorrow. Haha.

I just can't wait for this attachment to end. Then I can go back to my normal lifestyle. You know, being able to slack again. After all, slacking is quite important to the slacker. =)

And I'm sure like most students out there would agree, slacking is essential when you're in school. Right? =D

Blue

It's Sunday night again and I'm feeling a bit of the Monday blues. My attachment now is starting to get boring. Not that we have nothing to do, but it's just that working until 5:30pm everday is tiring.

I was feeling quite blue in the afternoon because I was at home and had nothing to do, but my girlfriend came to keep me company. We watched Love Actually in the afternoon with my sister and her boyfriend, and after that I went to Chomp Chomp food centre to buy our dinner. We bought so much food that I'm feeling so full noW! While we were eating we watched another movie, The Hot Chick. After all the food and the movie, I sent her to the bus stop because it was getting quite late already. I'm so glad she came today. =)

Talking about food, I've put on some weight! Crap. I haven't been playing football as often as I used to back in secondary school and now that I'm having attachment and sitting all day in the office, my weight's gone up to 61kg. My weight the last time was ideal at 56kg, and I can feel those extra kgs that have gone to my stomach. LoL~

Thanks for leaving comments for those who have. One thing I'd like to request is that can you leave your name next time? So I can know who said what. Cause the irritating about blogger is that for those who aren't registered appear as "anonymous" when they leave a comment.

Alright, it's time to play some playstation now while I can. I can't believe I'm looking forward to the new school term in 3 weeks! That's something new.

Funny Dream

I had a funny dream around 2 nights ago. I dreamt that Jasmine Trias was my girlfriend! Haha. I dreamt that I went to Hawaii to meet her and her family. Yes, I did support her in American Idol. After all, she's cute, sweet and sings well. Just look at her..

(Picture from the American Idol website.)

Isn't she sweet? =)

Yeap. I have to admit that the other 2 finalists' voices were better but one was Fat and one was Ugly. Doesn't that make the 2 finalists FUGLY? Now I don't have anything against fat people, but Diana Degarmo's jiggling fats where getting on my nerves. Everytime she moved, something jiggling would catch the corner of my eye.

And while Fantasia sings good, she's lacking in the looks department which doesn't make her as marketable as Jasmine. To be honest, I don't like her voice at all. If Fantasia and Diana release a song, I'll just download them. LoL~

If you're a girl, most likely you don't like Jasmine Trias. And it's okay. Because girls don't like another girls who are cuter and sweeter than them. It's a natural instinct to defend themselves against a threat to their social status. And it works the same way for guys too. Don't you think so?

So the bottom line is, Jasmine Trias is cute and pretty! :D

Today

Today was another mundane day at work. We tried to get on with the website revamp, but we just didn't know how to do it.

Both my partner and I aren't really good at web design so we don't know what color scheme to use, which is the best layout and all the stuff like that. So all we did today was a simple layout to show the guy tomorrow.

Speaking of the guy who gives us the task to do, he made us wait for nothing today. We turned up at the office lobby, waited for a while and then found out he was in a meeting. It was the 2nd time that this happened again. He's the Lead Visual Designer, so I guess he's a busy guy.

In the past 2 weeks both my partner and I have been working inside a small room with a table. Although it was small but at least we had a bit of privacy. But then earlier this week, the admin girl made us move to a table some where in the middle of the office. Cause they don't have cubicles in this office, they just have big tables for each person placed at different parts.

They all still have privacy because their tables are near the walls so their monitors face the wall and no one can see them. But for us, anyone passing by can see our monitors!

Now don't think I'm surfing porn websites during work and that's why I don't want people to see my monitor. It's not that. It means that I can't slack off and play games! And visit my friends' blogs! Crap. And I'm sure the feeling of the lack of privacy would make anyone feel uncomfortable as well.

Anyway, tomorrow's Friday and it's the weekend! I've been counting the days and I realized there's another 3 weeks to go in my attachement. =( And the worst thing is that time is passing by really slowly. It's almost as if time is crawling by whenever I'm in the office. Hopefully tomrrow time will pass quicker cause it's Friday! =)

I'm Bored

Tomorrow's a public holiday! Yay! But because of that, I'm feeling bored and don't feel like doing any work. *YaWn* We were given a new task to do today. We have revamp the Eng Wah Cinemas website. It kinda sucks cause we really don't know how to start revamping the website. Oh well. I guess we'll see how it works. In the meantime here's some jokes my friend sent me.

---

An old man was sitting on a bench at the mall. A young punk walked up to the bench and sat down. He had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, blue and yellow. The old man just stared. Every time the punk looked, the old man was staring at him.

The punk finally said sarcastically, "What's the matter, old timer? Never done anything wild in your life?" Without batting an eye, the old man replied, "Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son."

---

One day an evil witch took over the forest, "One-by-one, all of you useless animals have to come up here and tell a joke... if everybody laughs, you will be spared... or else I'll cut off your head!''

The monkey went up first and told such a funny joke that all the animals laughed except fot a tortoise.. so the witch cut off his head.

Next, a giraffe went up and she, in turn told a joke that set all the animals off laughing... but still, the tortoise did not laugh...so the witch cut off her head.

Then, the rabbit went up... but before she could say a word, the tortoise started laughing...

''Why are you laughing you stupid tortoise?'' the witch asked.

The monkey's joke was very funny...'' was the reply.

Dead Beat

Today has been the most stressful day for a long long time. In my previous entry I said that I only had a small part left to right? Well I was dead wrong. Both my partner and I slacked for those 2 days last week and today it was crunch time. Tomorrow was the deadline so we rushed everything today. It wasn't so much that we had to do anything hard, but that everything was very tedious. We had to do the animation for every single object in the menu, make it move here, make it move there. I didn't manage to finish my part, so I had to take it home today. I finally finished everything just 1 hour ago. Phew. :)

Another thing was that I was super super late for work today. I was supposed to meet my partner at 11am, but I arrived at the office only at 12pm. It was a good thing that the guy who's giving us all the work to do didn't mind my late coming. Haha. :)

Anyways, I'd better end here. It's time to sleep and I've got nothing more to blog anyway. Oh yeah, my lovable girlfriend is coming back tomorrow! Yay! Can't wait to see her again. I'm going to pick her up at the airport. :D
