Just Another Day In School

Inventory Management. First of all, I don't know what's going on in the class because it's just so darn complicated. Who would have thought that managing a warehouse and ordering stock involved so much calculations? Anyway I went to Inventory Management class today with practically nothing. I haven't bought the notes yet and my laptop is sick. What's more, I made the ultimate mistake of sitting in the front row, near the tutor's desk when I arrived.

Sitting in the front row means you're always under the tutor's scrutiny no matter what you do, and bringing nothing at all for the lesson is always a recipe for trouble. Surprisingly I managed to survive the 2 hour tutorial lesson without much trouble. It's easy. Just follow the tips below.

10 Tips On How To Slack In A Lesson And Get Away With It.

1) With a 30 minute grace period before being considered absent, come 29 minutes late.

2) Put your hands on the table, look at the screen and knit your brows together as if in deep thought.

3) Have minimal eye contact with the tutor and if he does look at you, look him and nod your head slowly with a "Ah-Now-I-Understand" Look.

4) Take out any piece of paper and pretend to be writing something all the time.

5) Copy frantically when the tutorial answers are flashed. This makes you look like a dilligent student.

6) 10 minute toilet breaks. Take as many. Just as long as the tutor doesn't notice your absence.

7) Ask questions that make you look smart when in fact you know nothing and allow you to waste time. For example:

"Is that the only method?"

"'Cher, can explain again?" (to be used with number 2)

"Which formula should I use for that question?"

"Will this come out in the test?"

(After tutor answers question, use number 3.)

8) Use your friend's laptop to surf the internet.

9) Look at the pretty girl in the classroom.

10) Look at the pretty girl in the next classroom.

Easy enough for everyone to follow, isn't it? =)

Jahalang: I also like. =D

Bubble: I do that a lot too. It's an easy way to get the teacher off your back because they think you're paying attention.

F|sh: Just practice these tips and you'll be an expert slacker in no time. Haha.

Miryclay: Then that makes us both classic slackers!

Ningx: Lecturers in poly don't really care much about how you do. As long as everyone passes overall, they'll be glad.
