Today
I met my Final Year Project supervisor on Friday. I didn't do much work so I didn't have much to show him. So I made up excuses like how I had problems with coding and how I was busy trying to read up books on how to complete my website's shopping cart function.
Well... actually half of that is true, because I really don't know how to go about doing my website's shopping cart function. I've asked around and everyone says that it really isn't that hard to do, because the codes are everywhere. But until I finally go about completing my shopping cart and start the actual coding, I'm not going to believe them. Things have a funny way of turning out differently from what other people say. Especially when they say that it's easy.
Anyway, I went for the JamX finals today, which was held at Ngee Ann City. JamX is a band competition for the tertiary level and the main reason I went today was to see Soul'd Out play. They were the guest band and did the opening act because they were the winners of JamX last year. Halfway through their performance, this old malay man started dancing in front of the stage. I guess he really liked their music.
Overall, I thought that the level of the bands in the competition were pretty average. I mean, most of them can play, but not a lot of bands had the extra bit of originality that made them stand out from the rest. The only band I really liked aside from Soul'd Out, was Drummer Girl Porn. Even the winners Turning Point from NUS didn't really impress me that much. But I guess they stood out from the others because they had a violin in their band.
I guess this entry is starting to get boring because if you didn't go to JamX, you probably don't know what I'm talking about. Sorry, but I just don't know what else to blog about.
Well, Manchester United is playing Middlesbrough now, so I'll end here. =)

I saw the proposed soul'd out tee..haha i wanna get my hands on one!! Hmm..abt ur project..i guess things will eventually turn out alright..look forward to CNY ya? haha give urself a break..

ningx: If I do manage to get my hands on the shirt, I'll be sure to reserve one for you as well. Haha. I don't think I'll be able to rest during CNY though. Because of the bloody project la.
i thought most bands were average too and was most disappointed when they announced the winners.
oh well.
Anonymous: Yep, I was quite disappointed with the winners. Frankly speaking, I'm not sure why they won because they didn't impress me at all. In my opinion, either Drummer Girl Porn or Audio Insanity should have won.
